Sungrow SBH/SBR: Battery & Rebate Optimisation for Single-Phase Homes

Sungrow has published an important update: the SBH and SBR battery series now allow the addition of an additional module per stack for single-phase homes and buildings, increasing the amount of energy storage capacity within the same installation footprint.

Up to four battery stacks can be supported by each inverter, giving installers far greater scalability and design freedom for single-phase energy systems. With this improvement, companies and homeowners may maximise the performance and rebate value of their battery systems.

Same Installation Footprint but Greater Capacity

Installers can now set up systems in the following ways:

SBR Series: up to four stacks per inverter (7 × SBR 3.2 = 22.4 kWh per stack)

SBH Series: up to four stacks per inverter (6 × SBH 5 = 30 kWh per stack)

This update is perfect for contemporary single-phase setups where high output and compact design are crucial since it enables homes and businesses to significantly increase total storage potential without adding installation space.

Maximise Your Rebate Experience Now that they can increase capacity, installers can assist homeowners in better utilising government initiatives such as the Cheaper Home Battery Rebate. Installers can lower installation costs per kWh while improving system efficiency and long-term energy independence by developing systems that utilise more battery modules.

Simple System Administration & Firmware Updates

With the option to update remotely, Sungrow has made sure that the distribution goes smoothly:

1. Installers can use Sungrow Support to request remote firmware updates starting on October 20, 2025.

2. Updates will be made immediately available through iSolarCloud starting in mid-November 2025, making it easier for authorised installations to get them

The enlarged stack configurations will be instantly recognised by the system after it has been upgraded, enabling direct monitoring and control from Sungrow's intelligent cloud-based platform, iSolarCloud.

Improved Management with iSolarCloud

Users may view their energy output, storage, and consumption in real time with iSolarCloud. Among the platform's primary attributes are:

• Detailed Monitoring: Examine energy flow, usage patterns, and inverter and battery performance statistics.

• Remote Management: Installers have the ability to remotely configure system settings, run firmware updates, and conduct diagnostics.

• Smart Energy Optimisation: By monitoring cycles of charging and discharging, homeowners may make effective use of solar energy stored in their homes and lessen their need on the grid.

• User-Friendly Interface: iSolarCloud, which is available as a desktop or mobile app, makes it simple for homeowners and installers to monitor and comprehend system performance. The new SBH and SBR configurations are a potent option for single-phase families seeking to increase their energy independence and improve their energy management because of their improved compatibility with iSolarCloud's analytics.
