Sungrow Battery Upgrade for Single-Phase Solar System

The SBH and SBR battery series now allows an additional module to be added to each stack for single-phase homes and buildings. This enhancement increases energy storage capacity without requiring more space.

Greater Capacity, Same Installation Footprint

Installers can now configure systems as follows:


  • SBR Series up to four stacks per inverter

    • 7 × SBR 3.2 = 22.4 kWh per stack

  • SBH Series up to four stacks per inverter

    • 6 × SBH 5 = 30 kWh per stack


This upgrade is suitable for modern single-phase solar systems installed, achieving high output and compact design at the same time.


Maximise Your Rebate Experience

The increased capacity also helps installers and homeowners make better use of government incentive programs, such as the cheaper home battery rebate.


By designing systems with larger battery capacities, installers can:


  • Reduce installation costs per kWh

  • Improve overall system efficiency

  • Increase long-term energy independence

  • Maximise the value of available battery rebates

Simple System Management & Firmware Updates

Sungrow has ensured a smooth rollout through convenient remote firmware upgrades:


  • Installers can use Sungrow Support to request remote firmware updates starting on October 20, 2025.

  • Updates will be made immediately available through iSolarCloud starting in mid-November 2025, making it easier for authorised installations to get them


Once upgraded, the system will automatically recognise the expanded battery stack configurations, enabling seamless monitoring and control through Sungrow's intelligent cloud platform, iSolarCloud.

iSolarCloud enables users to monitor energy generation, storage, and consumption in real time. Key features include:
