Trade In, Cash In: Aussie Homeowners Can Upgrade to a Sungrow Hybrid and Claim Up to $1,700 Credit

Already running a Sungrow inverter and thinking about an upgrade? Trustpower Solar is here to make that decision easier and more rewarding.

In celebration of Sungrow’s 12 years in the Australian solar industry, we’re proud to support the official Sungrow National Trade-In Program. This exclusive initiative enables Australian homeowners to upgrade their existing Sungrow inverter systems to the latest hybrid technology with integrated battery storage.

As an official Sungrow distributor, Trustpower Solar ensures a seamless upgrade experience. Eligible customers can trade in their current Sungrow inverter and receive up to $1,700 (ex. GST) in credit towards a new hybrid inverter and battery bundle.

What’s on Offer?

Users can access trade-in credits ranging from $500 to $1,700, depending on the model of your existing inverter. These credits come as vouchers and are redeemable when you purchase a new hybrid inverter + battery combo, such as the SBR096 or SBH200 series or higher.

To be eligible, your inverter must be:

  • Fully owned (not under lease)

  • Functional and in good working order

  • Free from major damage or third-party modifications

Only one inverter can be traded in per property. If more than one is installed, the highest-value unit may be selected.

Why Upgrade?

Energy storage is fast becoming a must-have as power prices rise and self-reliance grows more important. By pairing your solar system with a battery-ready hybrid inverter, you can:

  • Store excess energy for nighttime use

  • Avoid costly peak rates

  • Maintain power during outages

And thanks to Sungrow’s program, delivered in partnership with Trustpower Solar, you don’t have to start from scratch. It’s a smart way to evolve your system, reduce costs and prepare for the energy future.

The Sungrow Trade-In Program is available to:

  • Residential homeowners looking to upgrade their solar systems

  • Commercial system owners seeking improved performance and hybrid functionality

To participate, applications must be submitted by a Sungrow-authorised, SAA-certified installer. End users are not able to apply directly.

How the Program Works

The program operates through a streamlined voucher system, coordinated between installers, distributors and Sungrow. Here’s how it works:

Pre-Approval
Your installer submits your application, including photos and serial numbers of your current inverter.

Voucher Issued
Upon approval, a unique voucher code is sent, linked to your installer, site, and specified product.

Purchase & Installation
The installer redeems the voucher when purchasing your new hybrid system through Trustpower Solar, completes the installation, and arranges the return of the old inverter via Sungrow’s return portal.

Final Verification
Once all documentation is reviewed and verified, the trade-in credit (up to $1,700 ex. GST) is officially issued.

If you’re interested in upgrading, simply reach out to the Trustpower team. We’ll connect you with one of our trusted partners to guide you through the process.
