Sungrow's SH10RT vs SH10T: What’s new with the SH10T?

Everyone has been asking what’s new in Sungrow’s SH10T? Is it really an upgrade from the SH10RT? Well, let’s find out.

The SH10RT has been one of Australia’s most popular three-phase hybrids but Sungrow’s new SH10T takes that performance to the next level. It is optimised for efficiency, backup capability and flexible system integration.

Product Advantages

First looking at the advantages of both products, designed with simplicity in mind, both models feature true Plug and Play installation with quiet operation, making installation fast and easy. With IP65-rated weather protection as standard, they are perfectly suited for both indoor and outdoor installations. These proven features deliver a consistently installation-friendly experience every time.

Features

Moving to how the products differ, seamless full-home backup and management stand out. Compared to the SH10RT, that only had 14 A backup on grid per phase, the new SH10T has 63 A whole home back up per phase as well as 14 A off-grid, something that the SH10RT did not have. Homeowners can also expect peak backup output up to approximately 15kA for 10 seconds, enabling support for heavier loads when needed, giving them a sense of security even during power outs. This makes the SH10T stronger for power security compared to older models.

Additionally, the SH10T allows PV system oversizing of up to 200% (up to 20 kW of solar panels), compared to the 150% limit on the SH10RT. This means homeowners can maximize self-sufficiency, making the SH10T an even more powerful and flexible solution.

To Conclude

So to close it off,  the SH10T keeps everything people loved about the SH10RT but elevates it with better installability, function and improved backup. If you are planning your next hybrid install for a larger residential home or smaller commercial property,  the SH10T is definitely the one to look out for.
